Louisiana Named #2 Judicial Hellhole

As today’s Judicial Hellhole rankings came out from the American Tort Reform Association, which tracks jurisdictions across the country to see where principles of the law are continually abandoned, Louisiana was listed as number two on the rankings. While it may seem positive to make it to the top of rankings, the Judicial Hellhole list is one place where Louisiana does NOT want to be a leader. Gross abuses and questions of corruption have created an unpredictable lawsuit environment that threatens Louisiana’s long-term economic competitiveness and undermines the legitimacy of our entire legal system.
